As you know, the Organic Olive Oil that we produce in our family farm, located in La Campana (Sevilla), is free of the harmful glyphosate and 360 other agrochemicals. According to Greenpeace, this herbicide was classified in 2015 by the World Health Organization as “probably carcinogenic to humans”. It may also cause reproductive diseases such as endocrine disruption, teratogenicity (foetal malformations) and reprotoxicity (necrosis of umbilical, embryonic and placental cells). In addition to human damage, the environment and biodiversity are also affected. However, glyphosate is the most widely used herbicide worldwide. But it is not all bad news. To combat the use of agrochemicals, the organic agriculture was born, considered the best alternative to protect our health and the environment. In an eco-friendly farming system, multiple eco-friendly techniques are used to ensure the control of unexpected growth of other plants. Within this cultivation system, the use of harmful substances is not practised and, in contrast to industrial cultivation, it never negatively affects the environment. Therefore, we can say that organic farming works with nature, not against it. At La Verea Andaluza we are proud to obtain our Organic Oil through organic farmingthrough healthy and sustainable agriculture. We eradicate the use of chemical products in our olivar, replacing them instead with the gifts that the climate, fauna and vegetation of Sevilla offer us. This is why we have always maintained the famous “social distance” with this type of unwanted substances, providing our Ecological Oil with properties and flavours that other industrial oils are incapable of possessing naturally.
Our Organic Oil among the ingredients of the famous minichef of Seville
.
The premium quality of our Organic Oil is what makes it a star product. That is why it reaches the best kitchens, such as that of Daniel Serrano, the famous minichef from Sevilla who went viral in the middle of confinement with his video-recipe of meatballs with worms. Our countryman, along with Real Betis Balompié player, Alex Moreno, shared on 19 November on his Instagram profile the process of making a pizza. For almost six minutes we could see, enjoying the cooking, the little chef and the footballer of the green and white team from the city of Sevilla. Those of you who have been observant will have noticed a very special detail. And Dani knows very well that our Ecological Oil improves everything it touches. Clearly, to make a recipe of healthy food and homemade, an Ecological Oil of quality such as La Verea Andaluza is a must. By adding our Organic Gourmet Organic Oil, our friends from Sevilla have achieved that the dough of their pizza acquires the perfect texture and elasticity. As it is made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, its flavour is sweet, bitter and spicy, and its aroma is reminiscent of nature.
